Pengungkapan ini terjadi setelah aparat mengamankan lima pemuda yang mengenakan seragam sekolah saat mengikuti aksi tersebut. Senin (17/02).
Kapolres Jayapura AKBP Umar Nasatekay, S.I.K., mengungkapkan bahwa saat diperiksa, kelima pemuda tersebut ternyata bukan pelajar aktif. Mereka hanya mengenakan seragam SMP dan SMA untuk berpartisipasi dalam aksi demo.
“Dari hasil pemeriksaan, mereka mengaku tidak sedang bersekolah dan hanya menggunakan seragam sebagai bagian dari demonstrasi,” ujar Kapolres.
Lebih lanjut, dari keterangan yang diperoleh, diketahui bahwa aksi ini didalangi oleh Komite Nasional Papua Barat (KNPB). Dua hari sebelum aksi berlangsung, Ketua KNPB Sentani, Zadrak Lagoan, disebut memberikan arahan kepada peserta demo serta menyiapkan berbagai alat peraga yang digunakan dalam aksi tersebut.
Polisi menegaskan bahwa demonstrasi penolakan MBG telah ditunggangi oleh KNPB untuk kepentingan tertentu. Namun, kelima pemuda yang diamankan tidak dikenakan proses hukum dan telah dikembalikan kepada keluarganya dengan harapan mereka tidak mengulangi perbuatan serupa di kemudian hari.
“Kami sudah mengetahui siapa yang berada di balik aksi ini, dan kami tidak akan memberi ruang bagi KNPB untuk menjalankan kegiatannya di Sentani,” tegas Kapolres Jayapura.**
