Jayapura, jelajahpapua.com – Pertandingan 9 Ball Open Tournament MDF Trengginas 90 se- Papua resmi dimulai setelah dibuka oleh Ketua umum Pengprov Cabang Olahraga (Cabor) Persatuan Olahraga Biliar Seluruh Indonesia (POBSI) Papua, Samuel Berhitu yang diwakili Ketua Bidang Pengprov Cabor Pobsi Papua, Maka Hansanai.
Pertandingan yang diikuti puluhan peserta dari berbagai daerah ini berlangsung di Score 88 Abepura, Jayapura, Papua, Rabu (26/06/2024) siang.
Sekretaris panitia 9 Ball Open Tournament MDF Trengginas 90 se- Papua Muhamad Fadli, mengatakan turnamen ini diselenggarakan selama 6 hari sejak tanggal 26 Juni hingga 1 Juli 2024 dan dibagi menjadi dua kelas handicap 3-4, 5-6 beda bagan.
“Dimana untuk 64 besar kita menggunakan sistem double elimination. Jadi Winer loser diambil ke 32 besar, setelah itu kita gunakan sistem gugur sampai pada final nanti,” ujarnya.
Sementara untuk peserta yang mengikuti turnamen tersebut, kata Fadli berasal dari berbagai daerah seperti Nabire, Sorong, Manokwari, Merauke, Timika dan daerah lainnya.
Karena itu mewakili panitia, Fadli menyampaikan apresiasi dan terima kasih kepada peserta yang datang dari luar daerah.
“Terutama peserta yang berasal dari Sorong, Manokwari, timika, Merauke yang turut memberi dukungan dan mensukseskan pertandingan ini,” ucapnya.
Fadli juga menambahkan bahwa open turnamen MDF Trengginas 90 se- Papua ini akan memperebutkan hadiah senilai 53 juta rupiah, plus Trophy dan piagam penghargaan.
Ditempat yang sama, Ketua Bidang Persatuan Olahraga Biliar Seluruh Indonesia (POBSI) Papua, Maka Hansanai mengapresiasi dan berharap pelaksanaan 9 Ball Open Tournament MDF Trengginas 90 se- Papua ini dapat memunculkan atlet – atlet berbakat untuk mewakili Papua pada PON XXI Sumatera mendatang.
“Karena kita tahu pada Pekan Olahraga Nasional (PON) XX tahun 2021 yang di laksanakan di Papua, Cabor biliar merupakan salah satu Cabor penyumbang medali. Maka itu, saya berharap turnamen ini bisa menjadi persiapan tapi juga memberi semangat untuk mengantar Cabor POBSI ke PON XXI nanti,” harapnya.
Hansanai mengungkapkan, selama ini POBSI sendiri minim melaksanakan kegiatan turnamen biliar dikarenakan kekurangan anggaran.
“Jadi selepas PON Papua, kita tidak ada kegiatan apapun baik itu turnamen maupun pelatihan dari cabor POBSI. Karena itu, ini menjadi perhatian Pemerintah Provinsi Papua. Sebab Dengan minimnya turnamen ataupun pelatihan akan berpengaruh pada PON XXI di Sumatera,” katanya.
“Nah, melalui turnamen seperti ini saya pikir sangat membantu kita dalam hal pembinaan atlet yang punya potensi. Untuk itu mewakili POBSI Papua, saya ucapkan terima kasih kepada pak Kapolda Papua Irjen Pol Mathius D Fakhiri yang sudah memberikan dukungan dalam pembinaan prestasi olahraga biliar di Papua,” ucapnya.
“Jadi bukan karena beliau sebagai Kapolda Papua saja, tetapi secara pribadi telah memberikan perhatian pada cabor ini dan ini patut kami apresiasi,” tambahnya.
Menurutnya, biliar sendiri merupakan salah satu cabang olahraga yang banyak digemari kaula muda baik pemula, menengah dan utama.
“Sehingga dari turnamen yang dilaksanakan ini, kita bisa melihat bagaimana perhatian Kapolda Papua dan jajarannya sehingga turnamen ini bisa terselenggara dengan baik,” pungkasnya.
Diketahui, total hadiah yang diperebutkan dalam 9 Ball Open Tournament MDF Trengginas 90 se- Papua sebesar Rp 53.000.000,00 dengan rincian sebagai berikut:
Juara 1, total hadiah Rp 25.000.000 + Trophy dan Piagam.
Juara 2, total hadiah Rp 10.000.000 + Trophy dan Piagam.
Juara 3 bersama, total hadiah Rp 5000.000 + Trophy dan Piagam.
Sementara untuk 8 besar, total hadiah Rp 1.000.000- 4.000.000.
