Jayapura,Jelajahpapua.com – Personel pengamanan Pangkalan TNI AU Silas Papare (Lanud Spr), Jayapura berhasil menggagalkan rencana penyelundupan 17 paket ganja kering dengan berat total 802 gram melalui Bandara Sentani, Jayapura, Jumat (29/11/2024).
Keberhasilan ini, diawali dari kecurigaan personel pengamanan, dengan adanya tas yang terpantau di layar monitor Avsec, saat pemeriksaan melalui X-Ray Bandara Sentani. Selanjutnya pihak Aviation Security disaksikan personel Intel dan Satpom Lanud SPR serta personel BKO Kopasgat Pamrahwan memeriksa tas mencurigakan tersebut.
Setelah dilakukan pemeriksaan lanjutan yang disaksikan oleh seluruh pihak berwenang Bandara Sentani, ditemukan ganja kering seberat 802 gram yang dikemas dalam tas yang berisi 3 kardus yang dipacking dalam 17 paket ganja kering dalam ukuran sedang dan 1 paket berukuran kecil.
Barang temuan tersebut, selanjutnya diamankan dan diserahkan kepada pihak kepolisian, Polsek KP3 Bandara Sentani, untuk proses penyelidikan lebih lanjut.
Danlanud Silas Papare, Marsma TNI Mokh. Mukhson, S.E., M.M., menyampaikan apresiasi atas keberhasilan personelnya dalam menggagalkan penyelundupan Ganja di Bandara Sentani. Danlanud juga memerintahkan personel pengamanan, agar meningkatkan kewaspadaan dan pemeriksaan terhadap personel ataupun barang, guna mencegah penyelundupan barang ilegal melalui Bandara Sentani.
Untuk diketahui, sejumlah prajurit TNI AU ditugaskan dalam membantu pengamanan di Bandara Sentani. Personel tersebut terdiri dari personel Intel dan Pomau Lanud Spr, serta prajurit BKO Kopasgat Pamrahwan.**
