Kepala Kantor SAR Jayapura Anton Sucipto mengatakan bahwa pada hari Kamis(23/01/25) Petugas siaga menerima laporan dari pihak keluarga korban bahwa telah terjadi kecelakaan kapal satu orang nelayan terjatuh dan hilang di Sungai Grime ketika sedang dalam perjalanan pulang setelah mencari ikan Rabu(22/01/05).
Kami kemudian berkoordinasi dengan Polsek Demta dan selanjutnya tim kami berjumlah 7 Personil berangkat ke LKP pada pukul 08.50 wit (23/01/25) dengan membawah Peralatan SAR berupa Rescue Dmax,Truk personil,Perahu Karet,Mopel 25 pk,peralatan komunikasi dan PalSAR pendukung lainnya.
Pukul 11.50 wit Tim tiba di Polsek Demta dan melakukan koordinasi dengan polsek Demta dan selanjutnya berangkat menuju LKK,Tim SAR Gabungan tiba di LKK Pukul 12.10 wit dan langsung melakukan pencarian terhadap korban dengan menggunakan perah karet dengan personil sebanyak 5 orang dan nelayan setempat menyusuri Sungai grime sejauh 50 M dari LKK.
Tim kemudian Kembali ke posko untuk beristirahat pada pukul 15.00 wit,kemudain Tim SAR Gabungan melanjutkan pencarian di pesisir Sungai grime,kondisi cuaca di LKP Cerah.
Pada Pukul 20.30 wit Tim SAR Gabungan berhasil menemukan Korban dalam kondisi meninggal dunia sejauh 30 M dari LKK,selanjutnya korban di evakuasi dan diserahkan kepada keluarga korban,Kata Anton.
Dengan ditemukannya korban, operasi SAR dinyatakan selesai, dan seluruh unsur yang terlibat dikembalikan ke satuan masing-masing.
Adapun unsur yang terlibat diantaranya Tim Rescuer Kantor SAR Jayapura, Polsek Demta,dan Masyarakat setempat.**
